Large Organization

To provide individualized services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.....helping them obtain greater independence in their community through living, learning and doing.

Non-Profit Description

CIRSI is a private, not-for-profit organization providing advocacy, support and services designed to help children and adults with intellectual disabilities or mental health issues. An array of quality residential, day program and respite services are offered. We focus on educating individuals to recognize and use their own capabilities and strengths. Our goal is to promote each individual's own ability to develop mental and physical health and enjoy a high quality of daily life. A major emphasis of CIRSI is to provide supportive and individualized services that best suit the individual's needs, desires and lifestyle.

Communities Served

We serve individuals statewide, but our clientele are primarily from Marshall, Hardin, Poweshiek and Tama counties.

Why we deserve the makeover

Our primary funder, Medicaid, will only fund our direct support and assistance to the individuals we serve. Other indirect expenses, such as technology, must come from other sources, such as donations, fundraising, etc.. We are forever trying to keep up with advances in technology as we focus the majority of our resources on providing high quality services to those individuals with disabilities. Our agency is woefully in need of an office makeover. This donation would help us replace some older, less efficient equipment, and bring us some much needed additional office technology that is not in our budget.
